Are you curious what's in for 2024? Here are the current trends to consider!

Quiet Luxury

This element includes a softer more neutral palette, antiques mixed in with new items, high end statement pieces, quality fabrics, mixed textures, fine art, and beautiful lighting accents.

Color Drenching & Moody Palettes

A brave bold choice that also feels appropriate for an antique, painting the trim and walls the same color creates a cozy vibe, touch of glamour, and also allows the walls to recede into the background. The finish can either be all semi-gloss, satin, or satin on walls and semi-gloss on the trim depending on the effect you are going for. Adding an air of sophistication, a dark moody color palette also adds a touch of drama for smaller spaces.

Putty Kitchen Cabinets

White kitchens will always be welcome in the world of design, but a more earthy choice has entered the picture. Another current trend that can feel modern, antique, or timeless, choosing to paint your cabinetry a putty color is a great choice.

Mixing Metals

There is no reason to limit your love of metals! Mixing finishes as well as patinas is perfectly acceptable as long as they stay in the same family of modern, transitional, or antique.

Vintage Wallpaper & Painted Woodwork

Wallpaper made a triumphant return in the last few years with the advancement of large format printing and laser cutting techniques. Wallpaper with a vintage feel is now back in full force. A timeless look, when paired with painted woodwork to match, gives a polished and designer look to a room.

Vintage Statement Chandeliers

Antique light fixtures add a touch of decadent elegance to any space.

Gilded Mirrors & Picture Molding

Continuing with the Grand Millenial touches, a gilded mirror takes the harshness away from modern furniture to soften an overall look and grounds the space with nostalgia of the bygone era.

As with any year, I always tell my clients to choose what they love and it will always be perfect. Don't get carried away with the newest thing, but if any of these trends appeal to you and can be incorporated easily into your space, go for it!
